🚨 Scam Call Warning – Please Stay Vigilant 🚨 |
We have received reports of scam calls from fraudsters pretending to be police officers, bank staff, or members of a fraud investigation team. These callers may claim that: 🔹 There has been fraudulent activity on your bank account
Remember: ✅ Police officers will never ask you to transfer money, withdraw cash, purchase gift cards, or hand over bank cards and PIN numbers. ✅ Your bank will never ask for your full PIN or online banking password. ✅ If you receive a suspicious call, end the call immediately. If possible, wait at least five minutes before using the same phone line, or call a trusted friend or family member first to ensure the line is clear. ✅ Contact your bank using the number on the back of your card or from their official website. ✅ If someone claims to be from the police, you can verify this by calling 101. Please check in on elderly relatives, friends, and neighbours, as fraudsters often target those they believe may be more vulnerable.
If you believe you have been a victim of fraud, contact your bank immediately and report it to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040 or online at www.actionfraud.police.uk.
